Japan Premier League draft

Postby Iain » Mon Mar 08, 2010 2:11 pm

Details of this were announced at the AGM, but for anyone who wasn't there and is interested in being considered for this tournament the deadline is March 21st.

The JPL will be a three team representative competition comprised of the national high performance squad and leading players from the JCL clubs. It will be played with one round of 40 or 50 over matches and two rounds of Twenty 20 matches with a Twenty 20 final.

The three teams will be formed using a player draft. 21 players from the HP squad will be joined by 27 players from the JCL clubs.
Each team will have a captain from the HP squad and an additional 6 players from the HP squad. Each team will also draft 9 players from the pool of JCL players nominated by the clubs. Any remaining players in the club pool will be regarded as reserves and can be drawn on by any of the teams as required.

Will do Alexis.
I encourage as many people as are available to register your interest for this competition.
There can be no harm in putting forward your name for a draft.

. . . the following Sharks, who have been picked for the draft.

Are we 'in in', or is there another round of selection before our gladiatorial butts are officially 'picked up'?
